DART initiates and carries out research and development work relating to low- and high technological communication aids and their different components, methods, software, communication strategies and intervention programs.

This is done partly within the daily client centred work that takes place at DART and partly as minor and major separate R&D projects, administered at DART or by other organizations and project groups.
